Fish Day 2009 Celebrating 45 Years of Fish and Family Fun
Port Washington, Wisc. - May 5, 2008 - The 45th Fish Day will take place July 18th, 2009 on Port Washington, Wisconsin's lakefront. This year's theme, honoring the long standing history of the event is "Reeling in the Years." Best of all is this event is free to attend.
Family Fun
The traditional, more than two-hour long parade is back and better than ever this year. It will feature performances from show stoppers throughout the Midwest.
This year's carnival will feature a large Ferris wheel located in Upper Lake Park, overlooking scenic Lake Michigan.
The headliner at the Family Stage is KT's Universal Love. This unique performance is a blend of African, reggae and percussive music coupled with positive messages creates an infectious blend of original world music with Heart and Soul.
Another family stage notable performance is Discovery World's Fire and Ice Show. This education based performance is sure to capture the attention of young and old alike.
The grand finale of the event is at 10 p.m. when the fireworks finale reverberates over the festival grounds celebrating the conclusion of another fabulous Fish Day.
Musical Merriment

The entertainment is "Folkswagon" on Friday, "The Boomers" on Saturday, both from 6 til 10 pm, and "the Bob Breuhl Band" on Sunday from 5 til 10pm. There will be special 'Polka Music Masses' on Saturday at 5 pm, and Sunday at 9:30am. There will also be a stilt walker/juggler on the grounds Sunday from 2 til 6pm named Jason Kollum. There are lots of food booths and game booths for the kids, a silent auction daily on Saturday and Sunday, raffles all day for prizes and food items, a grand prize raffle with a drawing Sunday evening with a 2008 Kia Rio as the top prize.
